I work for a non-profit trade association, but members can be as clueless as
clients. Several years ago I was assigned to help a project task force with a
"network problem." They had three hand-me-down Macs and and a printer
connected in a simple AppleTalk network. One Mac hosted a shared folder
containing a spreadsheet and some other files. The admin assistant was not able
to access the spreadsheet. Thinking the host computer might have been shut down
I asked, "Whose computer is this spreadsheet saved on?" Admin: "Oh, it's not on a
computer, it's in the network."
