I'm reviewing a proejct over Christmas break. An instructor at my university developed a 5000 line c++ program that simulates the effect of trees being blown down in a GPS mapped (or randomly filled) grid. He's not in the CS department--Plant Biology actually--but I have to give him some credit for making something like this with no formal training. He has had a student or two tackle some of the trickier aspects like linked lists. He uses no object oriented anything, no pointers, etc except for what was added by a previous student. The inline documentation is pretty good and the comments keep you up to speed. However, I hit one on line# 910 that threw me off:
"for (i = 0; i < 12; i++) //do the following 12 times"
Hold up, lemme grab my C/C++ books, I'm out of my league. I think Clientcopia has a man page on that ;-)
