Overseeing training in Manila, Phillipines. An agent gets a very irate caller who wants to speak with a supervisor. I take the call...

Customer: This is the same goddamn person! Put a 'merican on the phone.

Me: (Completely bewildered - I'M FROM THE SOUTH!) Sir, I assure you, I'm an American. How can I help you?

Customer: Goddamnit, I told you to put a 'merican on the phone!!

Me: (A thought..) Let me place you on hold for a moment, sir... (Places customer on hold for approximately 2 minutes.)

Me: (Takes customer off hold) My name is ****, how can I help you today, sir?

Customer: Finally, a 'merican I can talk to!
