Large pre-press company, me as the studio-guy, accountmanager to communicate
between studio and client.
Client (cat-food retail) wants a mouse-pad, with a layer of plastic & liquid where
the cut-out goldfishes will swim while the background is a cat looking bewilderd.
Everything fine until I hand-over the finished folder with full-colour laserprints and
the pdf-file with the layout, images etc.
Acc-man says: client wants more gold in fish.
me: Sure, np, done.
To much gold! More red!
me: .. say, dear account-manager, based on what medium is our client making
acc-man: your (low-res proofreading) pdf's ofcourse, which I sent through.
me:... and the dear client has just a pc without any colour-managing?
Take this match-print wtih the original scan and send it by snail-mail.
End of life of mouse-pads; when the goldfish are fully saturated with the liquid
they float up-side-down when the mousepad is put vertical...
