Marketing and graphic design were killing me, so I currently use my communications skills in an advancement/development office at an "independent" school located in across from a country club in an affluent suburb. By affluent, I mean that a 4 bedroom, 2000 sq. ft. house with a 2 car garage sells for $800k. Needless to say, the market is out of the range of most school employees, including myself.
While photographing a recent school event, I overheard 2 parents talking.
Mother 1: We're so stressed with our house on the market right now.
Mother 2: I thought you liked your house.
Mother 1: We do. We just want to live on the cul de sac, so we're moving to the house behind us. Besides, right now our bedroom is on the first floor. We're just not first floor people.
