As a techie programmer guy I try to keep the tech talk to a minimum when talking to new people. I do this because experience has taught me that 99 percent of people wont understand me anyway.
On one occasion this super techie master programmer (so Im told) emails me asking for the code to my latest project.
I email back explaining that sending the code is no problem but it might be better if I come over and set it up as its quite complex even for an experienced programmer at least until you understand whats going on.
He emails me back explaining that hes an expert in over 20 programming languages and that hes sure that anything I made will be Childs play to him.
I thought of a few choice things I could say to that but I kept my cool and simply sent him the code with what little documentation the original supplier have given me.
A day later I get an email from his manager asking if I can go down on site and set it up for them.
Guess hes not such a super programmer
