That's what they said. So I quoted it as such. Then they mentioned the actors they were adding, then the fact it was in several locations within the building (each with actors). Then the schedule changed to a full day.
'We're still good on that quote, right? Because this is an agency shoot and they want it to look really nice.'
So I change the budget to include an HD camera, small lighting and grip package and one extra person to help out. They balk at the added cost and wanted to scale back to Betacam and a two-person crew. They then asked me to direct the talent and handle the visiting agency rep (all while setting up shots and shooting). Nah.
This is the first time in ages I told a cleint 'no thanks' and walked away from the job.
