Hello everyone. Just a quick note about the after-hours emergency phone duty laptops that you take home in shifts, the laptops that I update every Monday.
A typical staff member here will arrive around 9am and leave around 5pm. When doing the laptop updates, which takes a couple of hours dotted around my many other duties, I aim to have the laptops ready for staff to take home by 4pm at the very latest.
As such, if you have to leave unusually early - say, 2:30pm - I would appreciate it if you would tell me so around 9am or so.
Telling me at 2:15? Not so good. Please stop doing that.
