Back in college era as a computer student, I would take on the more technical projects (as a volunteer) to relieve people (students, departments, campus groups) of their needs. Unfortunately, order did not pervail in the IT department.
Machines would constantly be updated, upgraded, reconfigured without prior notice nor clear communication within the department, and would turn into incompatible messes.
You would think people who are paid a big salary to do tech support would be more than willing to help, out of good will if not to cover their ass right? Wrong. I had never felt more alone than when I went to our Technical Director for help. His reply?
